Ruth helped to set up RNR Training & Coaching Ltd in 1996 jointly with Bob Kessler and joined the company herself in 1997. Since that time she has devised and delivered a wide portfolio of short training courses and consultancy services to over 6,000 participants across the country, ranging from Directors and Executive level managers through to front line staff. The companies and organisations span the private, public and voluntary sectors.

Ruth specialises in several areas which include:

Ruth developed her people skills initially through the 12 years she spent as a qualified Social Worker for a London Borough. During those years she worked in the field of child protection, building relationships with children and families to strengthen their ability to function well. Ruth developed strong communication skills with the many agencies and organisations she worked with during that time.

Ruth's work helping individuals develop continued when in 1992 she became a Staff Development & Training Officer for a London Borough. As well as supporting individuals in their personal effectiveness, she also delivered a number of programmes for managers which included supervisory skills, effective recruitment practices and good practice around policies and procedures.

Ruth's managerial skills developed when she became Training manager for the Staff Development Team in Social services, a post she held for 3 years. During that time she the unit merged to become the Personnel and Training Service and she became involved in a number of joint projects to improve the effectiveness of the overall organisation. She gained qualifications in Training Management and subsequently the Diploma in Personnel and Development (IPD).

Bob Kessler

Together with Ruth Dover, Bob set up RNR Training & Coaching Ltd in 1996. He initially worked full-time as a Trainer, and began coaching in 1997, gradually making coaching his primary emphasis. He has developed a wide ranging coaching practice, covering the private and public sectors as well as many private individuals. His coaching specialisms include:

Bob has an unusual mix of both technical and people skills. After working as a Chartered Accountant in the USA, he moved to the UK and enjoyed a successful career in the public sector as a town planner and manager, working for 4 different London Boroughs. A 1991 career change to training and counselling led him into coaching in 1997. He did his counselling studies at Kingston Polytechnic/University, and graduated from Coach University in 2000, as well as attaining Practitioner level award in NLP. He is currently continuing his studies at Coachville's Graduate School of Coaching and is a founding partner of the International Coaching Consultancy.
